2024/2025 TACP Strategic Plan
The TACP Board of Directors voted to approve and adopt the 2024/2025 TACP Strategic Plan which will be effective immediately and carry through 2025. The Strategic Plan can be viewed through the following link and will also be posted on our TACP members only webpage.
Membership Software Conversion
As announced at the December 2024 TACP Business Meeting, TACP will begin the process of converting our membership software from YourMembership to Novi. This process will likely take a few weeks and you will see some changes and potentially experience delays or downtime with the system during this time. However, we believe in the end it will all be worth it with a much more user-friendly software that will streamline services for our members and TACP staff.
Please contact the TACP office if you have any issues or have questions.

Blood Assurance: Saving Lives in Tennessee
Blood Assurance is more than just a blood bank; it’s a dedicated community partner working tirelessly to save lives. Every two seconds, someone in the United States requires a blood transfusion—whether it’s a trauma victim, a surgery patient, or someone battling a chronic illness. Blood is a medicine that cannot be manufactured, and its availability depends entirely on the generosity of donors. Despite this critical need, only about three percent of eligible Americans donate blood.
As a Tennessee-based non-profit, Blood Assurance plays a vital role in ensuring that life-saving blood is available when and where it is needed most. Blood Assurance is the primary supplier for most hospitals in Middle Tennessee and all the hospitals in the Chattanooga area, including the level 1 trauma centers in both regions. Blood products donated to Blood Assurance directly support first responders in need of emergency transfusions in those areas
Supporting First Responders in Times of Crisis
For first responders in Tennessee, including police officers, sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, and EMTs, the availability of blood can mean the difference between life and death in the line of duty. Blood Assurance is committed to ensuring that these everyday heroes have the life-saving resources they need when emergencies strike. When first responders are injured, their care depends on the blood supplied by our donors.
Why Blood Donations Matter
Blood donations are essential for surgeries, cancer treatments, trauma care, and more. Each donation can save up to three lives, directly impacting the health and safety of our community. When you donate blood, you’re not just helping a stranger—you could be saving the life of a colleague, neighbor, or even a fellow first responder who also protects your community.
How You Can Help
Here’s how you can support Blood Assurance and make a lasting impact:
1. Donate Blood: Regular donations ensure that hospitals remain equipped to handle emergencies. Visit www.bloodassurance.org/schedule to set up a time.
2. Host a Blood Drive: Engage your workplace, your children’s schools, or your place of worship in hosting a blood drive. Blood Assurance provides full support to make it seamless. Visit https://www.bloodassurance.org/host-blood-drive for more information.
3. Spread Awareness: Use social media, local events, and conversations to share the importance of donating blood. Follow Blood Assurance on Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok.
Blood Assurance thrives on the collective efforts of compassionate individuals. By donating blood, hosting blood drives, or raising awareness, you are helping to create a resilient safety net for our community, ensuring that local hospitals are always prepared to save lives.
