Public Safety Policy Legislation

The TACP is proud to announce a new commitment to representing and serving our law enforcement professionals in Tennessee. Our legislative consultants are now representing both the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association (TSA) and the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police TACP. Both Executive Boards have been in conversation with Mike Agee and Jimmy Musice to discuss the future needs of our profession and the strengths of joining efforts legislatively. Both boards have approved this progressive team approach. We have respected, proven leadership in both men joining us together for a public policy partnership to strengthen our efforts on capitol hill. Through experience working the General Assembly, we have seen the respect, communication, and support of our legislative leaders when we partner at state and local levels to share our experience and needs on important public policy. This is a win for all, as we begin a new chapter allowing us to unify our efforts.
